Log Cabin ruler is double-sided and trims 5/8″ or 1 1/4″ finished width strips. To make 5/8″ finished logs, cut strips 1 1/4″ or 1 3/8″ wide or for 1 1/4″ finished logs, cut strips 1 7/8″ or 2″ wide. Cut the center square any size you want or make a star block (or any other block) and use as the center square. Make any size log cabin block by adding more strips. Ruler is 6 1/2″ long, so when the log cabin block becomes larger than the ruler, simply slide the ruler farther along and continue trimming. Bloc Loc Log Cabin rulers give you the look of paper piecing without the paper! Want to make a curved log cabin? Use both sides of the ruler on the same block. Use the ruler to add skinny sashing, borders or insert sewn in flanges!
